Separating grates are able to filter out all kinds of ferrous impurities from granulates, powdery substances and liquids as well as viscous substances.
Our durable separating grates can withstand temperatures of up to 150°C. They are used primarily in the animal feed industry, the food industry, in paint facilities and in coolant cleaning applications thanks to their tightly welded cladding tubes made of stainless steel 1.4301, 1.4404 or 1.4571.

Mannel Systeme’s magnetic separator grids consist of several parallel magnetic bars mounted in a frame. When the bulk material or material flow passes through the grate, ferromagnetic particles are attracted to and held by the magnetic rods. The cleaned material passes through the grate unimpeded, while the metallic contaminants are reliably retained.

How are the separation grids cleaned and maintained?
Cleaning the magnetic separation grids is simple and straightforward. Typically, the magnetic bars are removed from the frame, and the adhering ferromagnetic particles can be manually scraped off or wiped away. An automatic cleaning function is also available on certain models. Since the separation grids are made of stainless steel, they can be easily cleaned with water or suitable cleaning agents. Regular inspection of the magnetic strength and overall condition is recommended to ensure consistently high separation performance.
