What is the difference between rubber and plastic castors?
Solid rubber is often used as a standard material. It is quiet, easy on the floor and well suited for uneven surfaces. That said, solid rubber wheels wear out more quickly and can leave black marks.
Plastic polyurethane wheels, on the other hand, offer significantly higher load-bearing capacity. They suffer less wear, are cut-resistant to metal chips and relatively resistant to chemical substances.
